Watersports, Level: Beginner

Corbin learning about water. As a reward for helping with dishes (and a way to keep him busy while I cleaned...)

Letting the boys play with water in the kitchen while cleaning. Water is almost always fun. That’s why Momma moved close to the beach!

Beach Babes

Enjoying the ocean with Momma

Dipping the Little Boy’s toys in the ocean for the first time this summer. He is seriously styling with the sunglasses and new swim trunks he got for Easter. We’ll have lots more beach pictures this summer!

Chef-tastic

Making "Soup"

The Big One LOVES to help Momma cook. So much so that sometimes, Momma has to provide distraction so that Momma can cook dinner while the Big One feels actively involved. Momma loves to wonder what hobbies and careers the Big One might be interested in 20 years. Will he be a chef? or just a wonderful cook for his kids someday?

No worries

Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy Bounce!

After the Big One was born, and was so adorable even college aged boys stopped to comment on how beautiful he was, Momma was worried that subsequent children might not be as adorable. She’d heard stories of other families where one kid was super cute, and the other just regular cute and it led to issues. But Momma is officially no longer concerned that her second child won’t be as cute as her first. She just has some crazy cute kids.

A Rainy Day for a Birthday

Momma took half a day off, like she did last year, to take the Big One out for birthday fun. We decided to go to the aquarium, and were a few minutes early. We stopped at an area look out to take pictures in the rain.

"Singing in the Rain!"

At the aquarium, Momma did her best to allow the Big One to explore and play. Some guidance was needed, but Momma got quite the workout going back and forth, upstairs and downstairs. We explored the open air exhibit, with turtles and alligators and little birds to chase. He examined the sea turtle collected from a sea turtle nest nearby, touched the horseshoe crabs, watched the rays, and ran and ran and ran.

Hello Turtle!

Momma and the Big One tried to go on a boat ride but the ferry was having mechanical issues. So instead we came home and had a tasty lunch of cheese(turkey)burgers and macaroni cheese. Later that night we celebrated officially with a Jell O cake with a candle that the Big One blew out all by himself after NOT crying during the Happy Birthday song for the first time ever!

The first year he didn't cry while we sang Happy Birthday!

A Birthday Weekend!

Erin came to visit the Big One for his birthday. We went to the beach, he got to play his very first arcade games, we had pizza and sno-cones.

After a nice long nap, we opened presents. Erin had made the most awesomest crocheted Thomas the Tank Engine! The Big One also got a very cool personalized book in which he stars as an engineer.

The coolest stuffed

Lastly, we had a nice night of card playing before Erin had to go home the next day. What a nice trip!
