I love that my boys are still of the age to bathe together (although I did request that the Big One strategically place the boat). The Big One can be entertained by a bath for at least 30 minutes, and also requests very hot water (like his Momma), while the Little One, if left to his own devices, will jump in and out of the water, and run around wet and naked. We have to be pretty vigilant about that…
(You’ll have to ignore the staining on the tub – it looks unclean, but it’s just old)
The boys are “opening” their baskets. We don’t do big, fancy, extravagant things, but a few toys and other useful items. The big hit of the Big One's bucket were the 35-cent plastic animals I found in the party favor section.
The Little One likes his new rattle, but isn’t too keen on the sippy cup. We may need to wait a month or so for that…
Though this post is a month overdue, it’s fun to see how exhausted the Boy was at the end of his second birthday party! Daddy grilled, Momma decorated, Erin chased the Boy, the Boy chased ducks, and all sorts of family friends came to celebrate with us!
It was a lovely day with lovely people and one amazing not-so-little boy.
In the Boy’s book, the Leapfrog “Leaptop” is definitely on the Island of Awesome Toys, along with his new train set. It sings, says his name, and talks to him. (And it keeps him off Momma and Daddy’s computer, so it’s a winner all the way around!).
The Boy got to ring in the New Year with his Godmother (well, one of them – long story, don’t ask). She is super fun to play with and has some of the coolest old school toys. They played “Boo!” ran around the house, built towers and read stories.
Once Harper opening his brand new train set on Christmas Day, he couldn’t be talked into opening anything else!
