Friends and Cousins

 

 

At the end of March, the boys got to have a visit with their cousins. One day, we met the Big One’s best friend at the park, so in this picture, we have Little One, Big One, Best Friend, and Cousin enjoying an ice cream at the park.

Enjoying the St Paddy’s day parade, with a Big One who was particularly camera shy that day. The Little One was exhausted, but a fun time was had by all.

Preschool: Art Journal

 

 

This “unit” is about art. Our preschooling has evolved to consist of a “unit” every 2-3 weeks. This unit is Art – all types. Painting, Dancing, Poetry, Literature (children’s), Music, etc. As part of this, we are starting an art journal. Today’s prompt was simple: write his name, then decorate it.

Florida Family Time

In the beginning of March, the boys (along with their Momma and Daddy) went to visit Mimi and Papa Strat (and their aunts and uncle). Since Mimi lives in a campground, the boys had lots of adventures. The Big One tried climbing a tree.

 

 

He didn’t get very far, but he sure did try:

 

 

The boys spent time with their 11 year old aunt, who is full of fun. They took walks in the woods with Daddy, and played in the pool on site. They visited another uncle (this one’s on Daddy’s side) and their soon to be aunt, and took them to the free Florida History museum.

 

The little one learned to climb bunk bed ladders, and somehow lost all coordination and ended up with cuts, bruises, and even a black eye. However, at the end of the week, he got a fancy haircut and made the final leap from babyhood to toddler hood.

 

 

Travels

 

Some people are better long distance travels than others. The Big One is one of those people:

 

 

The Little One is not:

 

 

So we had to make one good long relaxing stop on the way to visit Mimi and Papa Strat in Florida!

 

Playground Palooza

 

 

 

This has been an awkward summer. Excessive heat, followed by excessive water. Next comes classes and work and moving and car problems. Momma and Daddy haven’t been able to orchestrate nearly as many trips to the local park. This trip was well enjoyed.

A Fantastic First

 

 

We celebrated a lovely first birthday for a lovely Little One. Thankfully, where we live, Late September is still beach weather (we even went in the water). Little One enjoyed himself immensely.

 

 

Since he hadn’t had a birthday cupcake, he had a little desert before presents.

 

 

He especially loved the the barn. There were many arguments over the barn.

 

 

The Big One did not approve.
